9 Min Gratitude!

For 9/9 gratitude, SLDC, RLDC, and NLDC have asked their employees to be available to ensure that there are no problems with the dispatch grids during the nation’s “Gratitude Display Celebration.” I am confident the employees of the above organization have carried out a massive effort to ensure nothing goes wrong on 5th April at 9:09 PM. The whole nation is struggling and fighting a horrid war (COVID-19), not sure if we needed such an extreme display of gratitude.

If you want to show gratitude, show respect to your fellow Indians (in fact, to your fellow humans). Show empathy to medical staff, police, and individuals of the various organization who are helping the government in distributing food and other necessary things to poor and needy.

Come tomorrow, do light the candles or flash torches, but please remember to be human after those 9 mins. Show compassion to every human being you interact with. 9 mins should teach you something valuable; do no let go of the lesson to be kind and thankful to the people, who make sure that you are safe and sound inside your house and you have enough to eat and a place to sleep.

Today doctors are the front line soldiers; show gratitude by not going out and by maintaining social distancing. India has less than one doctor for every 1000 population, which is less than the World Health Organisation standard. (Source: ET).

Don’t hoard supplies if you wish to show gratitude. Show gratitude by not cutting salaries of your maid or cook amid this lock down. They need this money more than ever. Call them every few days and check if they need anything.

Show gratitude always, not just for 9 min on 5th April. Moreover, you can also do it without lighting candles or flashing torch lights.
